Turbie Band® by Turbie Twist Changes Women's Nightly Routine

Turbie Twist, LLC has introduced a brand new product called the Turbie Band®.

The Turbie Band® is an elastic, microfiber headband that keeps hair away from ones face while applying or removing make up, or washing your face before bed. It takes the place of having to use barrettes, a headband and a pony tail to keep hair away from your face. Because it holds everything back, it also prevents hair from falling into the sink when you bend over…now Women can wash their face without washing their hair.

"I was always losing my barrettes and clips – I would end up with soap in my bangs- a simple task turned in to such a hassle," said Christina Cummings, Turbie Twist, LLC President. "With the Turbie Band® you can apply facials and exfoliating scrubs without getting it in your hair, now I can give myself spa treatments at home without the mess...I love it!"

The Turbie Band® is available at Bed Bath and Beyond, JoAnn Fabrics and CVS.

The Turbie Twist® is the original super-absorbent hair towel that stays in place. It is smaller and easier to use than an ordinary bath towel that strains your neck and simply falls off.

The Turbie Twist® is a revolutionary product that allows a woman to be the ultimate multi-tasker while drying their hair. It’s unique twist and loop system makes it the hair towel that stays in place. Featuring a tapered design the Turbie Twist® allows for a perfect fit on all head sizes so it’s great for kids and adults. Turbie Twist, LLC has donated $8,000 to the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh to support their disability awareness programs in Western Pennsylvania.

"Turbie Twist is really excited about supporting the Children's Institute," said Christina Cummings, Turbie Twist, LLC President. "Outreach programs like the ones offered by Children's Institute increase children's awareness and understanding of their peers with disabilities."

The Children's Institute estimates that the donation by Turbie Twist will allow between 3600-3800 children in elementary and middle schools to experience the Kids on the Block program or Amazing Kids workshop awareness program.

The Kids on the block program for elementary school students is an informative show that features puppets with various disabilities that perform skits designed to increase awareness and understanding of children with disabilities.

The Amazing Kids workshop allows middle school students the opportunity to take part in a series of interactive activities to help them understand how challenging a disability can be. The students also meet several middle school students, via video, who describe a problem they faced at school because of their disability.

Turbie Twist Super-Absorbent Hair Towels will now absorb even more water.

Turbie Twist, LLC has improved the functionality of the original Turbie Twist® by using Microfiber technology.

"Microfiber is a wonder fabric – it can hold up to 7 times its weight in water, now the Turbie Twist® is even more effective at absorbing the water from your hair after bathing", said Christina Cummings, Turbie Twist, LLC President. "We’ve taken the product to the next level in terms of function, but still kept the fashion element which I love."
Microfiber is a fabric made of polyester and polyamide fibers that are spun and then split into micro-sized strings that can be 100 -200 times thinner than a strand of human hair. The manufacturing process produces hooks and loops that produce a material that is extremely soft, absorbent and durable. The hydrophilic (water loving) polyamide fibers absorb and distribute water throughout the towel. Combining this technology with the “Twisting” motion of wrapping the turban maximizes the absorbency factor.

In addition to the superior absorbency (over cotton) Microfiber is also built to last - according to Cleanaide.com “A cotton towels appearance and functionality will be visibly reduced after 20 washes or so, microfiber can sustain 300 to 500 washes with very limited effect on the product.”

The microfiber Turbans will come in both solid and patterned versions and are available at Bed Bath and Beyond, CVS, QVC and Walgreen’s (price: $4.99- $9.99).

Turbie Twist donates more than $3000 to Miss Ohio's Children's Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising bike tour.

Miss Ohio 2011, Ellen Bryan, accepts a check on behalf of the CMNH from Turbie Twist President Christina Cummings.
Miss Ohio 2011, Ellen Bryan,
on her bike tour.
Butler, PA October 28, 2011; Turbie Twist, LLC is proud to sponsor Miss Ohio 2011, Ellen Bryan. Bryan spent the month of September biking 854 miles around Ohio to raise money and awareness for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Turbie Twist is pleased to be a supporter of the Miss Ohio bike tour and donated $3008 to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Before beginning the bike tour Bryan thought the hardest part of her trip would be riding her bike 854 miles. But that opinion changed after a few days of riding 40 miles and making an average of three appearances daily, "Honestly, the cycling wasn't too much a challenge. If anything, the hardest part was keeping up with the busy schedule for 27 days."

During the bike tour Bryan says she learned so much about the state of Ohio and the people she is representing as Miss Ohio. "It gave me an appreciation for my home state and made me more excited than ever to be representing Ohio at Miss America this year," Bryan said.

Bryan was extremely excited to have a partnership with Turbie Twist, "Turbie Twist has been such a great sponsor for the Miss Ohio Program and we really appreciate their support in raising money for CMNH," Bryan said. "The best part about Turbie Twist's sponsorship was that they saw a great cause and immediately wanted to donate in any way they could. They are always looking for a way to give back to their community, which is such a valuable part of any company."

Watch Miss Ohio, Ellen Bryan, compete for the 2012 Miss America Pageant on Saturday, January 14 at 9pm ET on ABC.

"Dry Idea" - Turbie Twist featured in Inc. Magazine

Here is an article in Inc. Magazine by Darren Dahl

The story of two sisters and a hair towel
By Darren Dahl |  From the June 2011 issue of Inc. magazine
"After they graduated from college in 2006, sisters Angela Carr and Christina Cummings started a business selling a product their father had created: an absorbent, fitted hair towel called the Turbie Twist. Carr recently spoke to Inc. about how the sisters turned the towel, which retails for $10 to $15, into a national sensation, with sales of $6.5 million and the No. 789 spot on the 2010 Inc. 5000..."

Apply Make-up as your hair dries

Check out this review by Marisa of Cool TV Offers
Cool As Seen On TV Offers

"If you happen to be like me, you hate to have long, wet dripping hair down your back or neck. Often times I like to let my hair dry naturally, but I hate that cold, wet feeling on my neck and the consequential dripping down my shirt . With the Turbie Twist towel, I am able to keep my wet hair perfectly out of my face and off my neck post shower, so I am ready to then begin the daily beautification process. The Turbie Twist is incredibly easy to put in your hair, it holds nice and tight, and wont fall off your head, not even when bending over like the usual large, heavy, water laden bath towel I used to use. It is so great to be able to have my hair all wrapped up, I no longer have to wait until my hair is dried and styled just to put on my make-up."

A Must-Have: Turbie Twist Review and Giveaway!!

Great review by Hope's Cafe:

"Wow, the product I am about to share with you is one that I quickly became fond of! I received a Turbie Twist and Turbie Band for review, and I am so thrilled! Honestly, I am wondering why it took so long for someone to come up with this idea! The Turbie Twist is a hair towel, made of super-absorbent material. I have to admit, I have never blow-dryed my hair unless it is absolutely necessary...I don't like the damage, and, quite honestly, I just don;t have the time. So, I usually use a bath towel to dry my hair, and then it takes between 1-2 hours for my hair to completely dry. So, the morning after receiving my package, I was anxious to try this out. "

An Impulse Buy but now I am Hooked ...

Great Review on eopions for the Turbie Twist from Becky in Chicago -

The Turbie Twist worked great. I was able to leave it on to absorb all but the last bit of water from my hair leaving it evenly damp so if you wanted to blow dry it it would still be wet enough to style your hair but dry enough that it would only take a few minutes. I tend to air dry my hair so after I leave it on for awhile I take it off right before I am ready to brush it the way I like to wear my hair. I loved the Turbie Twist so much that I went out and bought myself another one and two more for Christmas gifts for my daughter in law and daughter who both have long hair.

How it washes up

The Turbie Twist washed up great. I washed it like I do other towels in hot water and there was no damage fraying or pilling. I think this thing will last for quite some time. I have been using mine for about 3 or 4 months.

How well other's liked it

My daughter called me the other day and told me she was in love with the Turbie Twist. It was funny because when she opened it on Christmas she had that look on her face like "why did you get me this?" But now she is glad I did. I have not heard back yet from my daughter in law...
